Whether you are just thinking about dipping a toe into the pool of freelancing or you have already begun your journey as a freelancer, there is a lot to learn. If you search for 'freelance blogs' you will get well over 5 million results—but how many of those blogs are aimed at women in freelancing? Not many, yet the 2017 PayPal Freelancer Report found that two-thirds of freelancers in the U.S. are women.
As a women who has been freelancing for just over a decade, I've learned a lot along the way. I've learned how to best deal with my clients, approaching problems, the best ways to use a contract, but more importantly I've learned my value and self-worth as a designer. We, as women are still under valuing ourselves across the board. We are still afraid to ask for what we deserve when it comes to pricing and compensation based on our skills and expertise. These are things no one is talking about and the things I want to help you with.
